In 2006 the South Pacific islander was in his country’s squad for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Brazil, where he helped his side to a 5-2 victory over Cameroon.
Approximately six years later Huia made his debut in Brazil 2014 qualifying, coming on shortly before half-time for injured first choice custodian Samson Koti in a 6-1 defeat to New Zealand.
Huia’s next maiden appearance came in November 2012 when he travelled to Thailand for the FIFA Futsal World cup. The shot-stopper was part of the Kurukuru team that made history in Bangkok as they secured an inaugural tournament victory with a 4-3 triumph over Guatemala.
This year Huia recently competed in the OFC Champions League for the Solomon Warriors as the side attempted to qualify for the 2013 FIFA Club World Cup.
FIFA TV travelled to the Solomon Islands to learn more about Huia and get a first-hand look at what makes him unique.
