David Muta and his troops had all its gun blazing from all corners of the field making Besta players look like beginners.
It was not long when Hekari’s scoring machine Raymond Gunemba shot from outside the 20 meter mark found the back of the net in the 7th minute for the opening goal. Besta retaliated but Hekari hold them on when Koriak Upaiga put Hekari ahead with the fastest goal through a 30 meter shot in the 19 minute.
Down by 2 and without giving up Besta press on sticking on to their game plan with Jacob Sebua dictate play in the midfield feeding Jamaal Seeto upfront but he cannot penetrate through Hekari’s defence when the referee signal for half time.
Both teams went into the shed with Hekari United Leading Besta with 2 nil score line.
Trailing 2 – 0 at half time, the boys from Lae with their never-say-die attitude were made to work hard and kept on putting pressure on Hekari United when Besta’s sneaky striker Jamaal Seeto who slipped through Hekari’s defence to push one past the goal line in the 46 minute.
From then on Jamaal mobilises his troops and once again press forward resulting in his second goal who raced on to a loose ball before shooting past a helpless Godfrey Baniau 2 minutes later.
Hekari retaliated with Raymond Gunemba and Joachim Waroi fired all their shots at Besta’s goal mouth but Besta manage to hold them on to force the game to a 2 all draw when the referee signal for full time.
