President of Port Vila Futsal League Tom Waiwai Philip has advised all clubs in Port Vila that all matches have been cancelled until further notice.
“I want to advise all 36 faithful affiliated clubs in Port Vila that no matches will be played at Ex F.O.L. futsal court until further notice,” Philip says.
“The building has been badly damaged by Cyclone Pam. I don’t know who will repair the building and I also don’t know where or when to start.”
Philip says it is a loss to the active Port Vila futsal community who had hoped to use the game as means of briefly escaping day-to-day life, but something they will bounce back from just like the people of Vanuatu have done in the wake of the cyclone.
