The first day of the Super League held all its promises as AS Lossi, AS Magenta and JS Baco all recorded exciting wins.
AS Lossi beat Hienghène Sports 3 to 1 in an exciting match on Saturday afternoon. The win propels ACE Lössi to the top of the table after one round thanks to superior goal difference over Baco and Magenta.
The opening day of the season has previously been met with goals galore, but this time there were only 10 goals scored between the four games.
Jean-Marc Hmaloko did the damage for AS Lossi – his double strike in the 14th and 45th minute clearing the path for AS Lossi to pick up full points. Marcellino Teouei pulled one back for Heinghene in the 33rd minute, but Leon Tain put all doubt aside when he finished off the scoring with one minute left in regulation time.
JS Baco scored a come from behind win over Témala-Ouélisse after trailing 1-0. Gael Ouedoy put Temala-Quelisse ahead after t his strike was quickly cancelled out by Gregory Wabealo from JS Baco four minutes later.x Tagawa was the hero for JS Baco when he scored the winner in the 56th minute.
One goal was all it took for Division Federale champions AS Magenta to beat AS Monte Dore in a tough first round encounter. Michael Hmae scored after five minutes and Monte Dore were unable to reply.
In the last meeting of the day Thio Sports and Mouli Sport shared the spoils with a goal a piece in each half.
Marcel Mindia opened the scoring for Mouli Sport in the 16th minute, and his side held the lead through to halftime.
In the second half Thio Sports dominated possession and scored a well deserved equaliser in the 56th minute through verick M’Boueri.
