With Les Cagous preparing for home-and-away matches against Solomon Islands on October 12 and 16 for the World Cup qualifiers, the Ligue will not officially resume until the weekend of October 20 but in the meantime three catch-up matches have been scheduled for this weekend.
AS Kunie-Mouli Sport will be played in Noumea while AS Thio Sport-AS Lossi is being held in Thio on Saturday.
Unfortunately only these two matches will be played despite three being scheduled as AS Magenta could not get a flight to Lifou for their game against Qanono Sport forcing it to again be postponed.
Currently sitting in third, AS Lossi will be hoping for a good result in order to close the gap on the duo at the head of the table, AS Magenta and Hienghene Sport.
It will be an interesting season end for the Thierry Sardo-coached Lossi who, as well as hoping for a good finish in the Super Ligue, are also due to contest the final of the Coupe de Caledonie against AS Magenta at Stade Numa Daly in early November.
