Oceania Football Confederation (OFC)/FIFA Vice-President Reynald Temarii has been named in World Soccer magazine’s May edition as one of the Top 100 Movers and Shakers in world football. Temarii was named 20th in the list – four places above former UEFA President Lennart Johansson and one place ahead of Barcelona President Joan Laporta.

World Soccer profiled the most influential people in the world game targeting decision-makers, power-brokers and iconic personalities whose actions influence the game and how it is played and was compiled by Gavin Hamilton and Keir Radnedge.

Temarii has held the OFC Presidency since 2004 and is now into his second term. Temarii was conferred as a FIFA Vice-President following the OFC Congress in January 2007. Then in late 2007 Temarii was elected as President of the Tahitian Football Federation with the endorsement of the OFC Executive Committee.

Other notable entries of note for Oceania observers include Prof. Jiri Dvorak, MD, FIFA Chief Medical Officer and Chairman of the FIFA Medical Assessment and Research Centre (F-MARC), who officially presented Dr Tony Edwards, Sports Physician and Partner at adidas Sports Medicine, with the accreditation certificate for the adidas Sports Medicine Centre at Colin Maiden Park (University of Auckland Tamaki Campus), St Johns, Auckland, New Zealand earlier this year.

FIFA technical director Jean Michel Benezet who heads FIFA’s Education Department is located at 79 in the list. Dr. Dvorak is listed at 76.
