6′ Vanuatu get their first shot away on target and Papua New Guinea keeper Koniel Vagi is forced to make a save
7′ Ray Iwai tussles with Papua New Guinea defender Felix Komolong right into the Papua New Guinea corner and the ball is out for a goal kick
9′ Remy Kalsrap plays Alex Jason Saniel in on goal but the Papua New Guinea defence rally to shut down the Vanuatu advance

25′ Ruben Frank steps up for Vanuatu and blasts a shot that rattles the goal after richocheting back into play off the upright

52′ Saniel holds the ball up in the corner as he waits for his teammates to arrive but the Papua New Guinea defender manages to get a toe to it and knock it into touch
53′ Koka takes a shot but skies it over the goal for Vanuatu
