Under the guidance of David Passam, School Soccer had a field day, thrashing Kutubu based Hekari 7 – 0 and edging Koupa again in the afternoon game 2 -1.

School’s Daniel Sareke scored a hat-trick while Yamaros FC recruits Chuckston Aopi and Patrick Aisa bagged a double each.

In the morning games, Koupa came back from a 1 – 0 deficit at halftime to beat the Elijah Sigimata led team from Tabubil 3 – 2.

Tabubil’s Peter Kosam got his team off to a good start, scoring early in the first half.

PNG striker, Kema Jack scored two goals while Jay Kepi picked up a single to Tabubil Kosam and Peter Willie goals.

School Soccer lead the competition with NCD Public Servants Soccer and Koupa on equal second sport while Hekari are last.

NCDPSSA match organiser Thomas Piliwas said the Southern leg decider would be today when NCDPSSA take on School Soccer in the main game.

Meanwhile, interim NCDPSSA chairperson Vonnie Kapi Natto said everything went smoothly in the first day of the competition.
