The 2013 OFC Champions League winners commence their pre-season match schedule locally on Thursday 19 September August against Northern League Second Division champions Western Springs at Seddon Fields.
A further two games follow in late September including glamour clashes with Fiji’s Ba and Hyundai A-League outfit Wellington Phoenix at Kiwitea Street.
Tribulietx said: “It’s great to play professional teams with the FIFA Club World Cup on the horizon it gives us a good taste of what playing professional football means.
“The speed of the game is different and although we have played some professional teams in the last few years teams need to keep testing their systems regularly otherwise you tend to forget the feeling of playing opponents of this calibre.
“For us it is a good opportunity to look at our game globally and especially in possession and figure out the little details we have to consider when it comes down to playing professional sides,” Tribulietx added.
Auckland City FC will round out their pre-season schedule with a clash against Canterbury United at Kiwitea Street on Saturday 26 October.
Navy blues boss Tribulietx said that he believes a good schedule of matches has been put in place to ready his squad for season ten of the ASB Premiership.
“We know how difficult is to organise friendlies as winter league clubs have already finished and our options are limited.
“To secure a minimum of seven high quality pre-season games including one with the Wellington Phoenix says a lot about the commitment of the Auckland City FC board.
This schedule gives us the best opportunity to have a good pre-season,” he said.
Auckland City FC will commence their tenth campaign at Fred Taylor Park against Grand Final foes Waitakere United on Saturday 3 November, 2013 in the season’s ASB Charity Cup curtain raiser.
