Right in time for the OFC Champions League Final between Auckland City FC and Amicale on Sunday, the OFC has launched its own smartphone app. The app has been designed by Applacarte, and lets fans access all the latest news, fixtures, match reports and commentary from their smartphone.
Free to download, the app includes everything you’d expect: the latest news, video, text commentary, team line-ups, statistics, live updates and the Confederation’s online store at www.ofcshop.com

OFC Head of Media and Communications, Gordon Watson, said: “Building on our work for other platforms, we are now expanding the OFC mobile footprint out to smartphones for Android and on iTunes. For the OFC this means that we continue to expand a rich, diverse and varied OFC mobile experience to as wide an audience as possible. The sum total of this is a compelling offering with strong global and regional reach.
“For the fans the app means the best content, delivered right to their phone in the run up to the OFC Champions League final. But beyond this Sunday, the content and our proactive management of the app will mean fans enjoy another means to keep up to date with what’s going on in football in our part of the world. The OFC smartphone app is capable of a live audio stream so if you’re not at the game you can tune in and listen to the commentary from your phone.
“We hope to be able to harness that capacity during the forthcoming OFC U-20 Championship in Suva later this month,” he said.
The app can be downloaded for free for Android here
It can also be downloaded for free at iTunes.
