The battle for the 2008-09 Telikom NSL Cup commences on November 1 in Papua New Guinea and the PNGFA is excited about the competition they are confident will be the best yet.
The Telikom National Soccer League is calling on franchises to complete and submit their player registration forms to the NSL office as soon as possible with the season kick off fast approaching.
NSL operations manager Edward Tauloi said this yesterday when calling on the eight franchises to collect the registration forms at the NSL office.
He said all franchises must fill the forms and send them to the NSL office and urged them to follow all NSL formalities before fielding their players.
“The semi-professional competition starts in the first week of November and all franchises need to fill in their player registration in compliance to the rules and guidelines,” Tauloi said.
“Also the player transfer window is still open and everything should be in place for every player before the season starts.”
He said that there will be eight franchised clubs vying for the Telikom NSL Cup this season and all the franchises had paid their affiliation fees and are now ready for the competition.
The eight franchises are Hekari Souths United FC, CMSS Rapatona Tiger FC, University Inter FC, Nabasa United FC, Sepik FC, Gigira TL Morobe FC and Welgris Highlander FC.
Meanwhile, the Telikom NSL launching dinner night has been deferred to Wednesday October 29 which will officially open the NSL season for the 2008-09 competition.
