PORT MORESBY – NSL operations manager Edward Tauloi said nomination opened yesterday and will run through to June 30.
“Basically, this entire month is set aside as the expression of interest time.
He said the expressions of interest should be accompanied by a K5,000 refundable fee. All teams must pay their affiliation fees of K75,000 by Sept 30 before they can be included in the draw.
National Soccer League chairman John Kapi Natto confirmed yesterday that all franchise owners (and intending ones) have the month of June to submit their expressions of interest.
Natto said he wanted to start early to keep the momentum going with already three new franchises expressing their interest to be a part of this exciting and expanding competition.
He said his major objective is to expand the competition into the New Guinea Islands region to involve Manus, Kokopo, NBPOL, Bougainville and Kimbe soccer associations, as well as branching out in the Southern region.
