HENDERSON – Welcome to Trusts Stadium in Henderson, New Zealand, for the Group A match between reigning champions Waitakere United and Port Vila Sharks. Its Match Day 2 of the 2009 O-League and www.oceaniafootball.com is pleased to bring you live text updates of the latest round of matches.
Waitakere United coach Chris Milicich has named a strong team despite the absence of talismanic leader Danny Hay. Neil Emblen returns to the starting eleven but the big news is the inclusion of Fiji international striker Roy Krishna. Krishna scored twice in midweek as Fiji recorded an historic 2-0 OFC Nations Cup/2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa victory over Ricki Herbert’s All Whites.
Port Vila Sharks will provide a stern test for the two-time O-League champions with Oceania All-Stars midfielder Francois Sakama and Vanuatu international captain Moise Poida joined by young up and comer Michell Kaltak in an exciting line-up geared for attack.
Its halftime and Waitakere United lead Port Vila Sharks by 3-0. A double from Roy Krishna and one from Paul Seaman has the reigning O-League champions headed for an easy three points.
