The Samoana Sharks made a clean sweep of the ASHSAA Boys’ Varsity Soccer season with a perfect 7-0 run clinching them the title.

Under the ASHSAA rules for the varsity division, a team which completes the season undefeated will be declared champions. Only if there is no undefeated team will they move to a play-off format to determine the season’s winner.

The Sharks put an end to the play-off scenario with a 6-0 victory in their final match against Faga’itua Vikings last week.

Samoana is blessed with a wealth of talent and experience including twins Eugene and Roy Ledoux, Chris Faamoana, Pesa Taugavau, Junior Choi, Mahonri Lotulelei, and Elliot Lelei, all of them having experience on the international stage at youth or club level.

In the Junior Varsity league Leone took out the 2017-18 title with 17 points, just one clear of Samoana Sharks and the Tafuna Warriors.

Leone lost just one match this season, going down 3-2 to Tafuna Warriors.
