The tournament was hosted by New Zealand for the second time running, with all matches played at Centre Park in Auckland, and was contested by four nations in a round-robin format. Again hosts New Zealand had no issues, with a 6-0 victory over Papua New Guinea their smallest winning margin as they cruised to a third consecutive OFC U-20 Women’s Championship after winning all of three of their matches.
