Tongan football and its supporters are set for an improved experience with Tonga Football Association seeking tenders to develop a new stadium at the Loto-Tonga Soka Centre in Nuku’alofa.
The TFA hope to engage an engineering firm to design a stadium with a seating capacity of 700, two air-conditioned changing rooms, a media room and disability access to all stadium amenities.
The Tonga Football Association has made great strides in development over the past few years, including qualifying for the final tournament of the OFC U-20 Championship for the first time.
The development strategy is aimed at seeing the senior team repeat the feat if possible, and reach the next stage of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers for the first time.
