Vanuatu Just Play manager Rorona Kalsakau was invited by charity organisation UNICEF to attend the meeting, which will be held in Suva, Fiji from 28-29 October.
The Pacific Humanitarian Partnership Meeting has been held annually since 2008, with the aim of strengthening the partnerships between practitioners who are likely to collaborate in disaster preparation and response.
“On behalf of the Vanuatu Football Federation and the Just Play Programme, I would like to thank UNICEF for their support and for inviting me to attend this important meeting,” Kalsakau says.
“I look forward to representing Vanuatu and bringing my experiences home to help improve the way in which we work.”
Among the other activities Kalsakau has been invited to be a panellist on a session where she will speak for around 10 minutes about her work in the social responsibility field.
Participants at the meeting include representatives from national disaster management authorities, national ministries, UN agencies, Red Cross partners, non-governmental organisations, civil-society groups, affected community members, regional and international organisations and academics.
