Inifiri put his charges through their paces during two final trial matches last week and is confident that he now has the best team possible to make an impression during the tournament.
Mesalyn Saepio and Pauline Erewai are the only two provincial players to make a squad dominated by Honiara-based stars.
There are also a couple of exciting new names in the line-up.
Veronica Tolivaka, who captained the Solomons to a second-place finish at the 2010 OFC Women’s U-17 Championship in April has found a spot amongst players far more experienced while fellow U-17 youngster Mary Maefiti has joined her former skipper in making the cut.
The squad will continue training over the next few weeks as they build towards the tournament and Inifiri believes they will give a good account of themselves in Auckland.
Now that the team is in place, he says the focus will shift to the more tactical aspects of the game like playing patterns and formations. The players have already been put through a tough training programme, designed to improve their fitness and tactical skills.
