The Toa Aito took Polynesian football to the world with their 2012 victory seeing them through to the FIFA Confederations Cup, held in Brazil in 2013.
The side captured the hearts of millions of new fans from around the world as they represented Oceania with honour against the 2010 World Champions Spain in the mythical Maracana stadium, as well as matches against Uruguay and Nigeria.
Defending their regional title will be a hard task, but FTF technical director Patrice Flaccadori has called on a large majority of experience for the first camp which will be led by head coach Ludovic Graugnard.
The 2012 captain Nicolas Vallar is joined by Alvin, Jonathan, Enzo and Teaonui Tehau, as well as Tiki Toa Angelo Tchen, Jonathan Torohia, Heimanu Taiarui and Raimana Li Fung Kuee, all of whom add an impressive amount of experience to the side.
Among some of the newer names are Fred Tissot and Yohan Tihoni, both of whom made inspired appearances for Tahiti at the recent XV Pacific Games.
The first camp will see the players come together from Monday 28 September to Wednesday 30 September from 17h30 daily at the Centre de Formation de la Fédération Tahitienne de Football.
