Portugal beat Tahiti to the top prize with 5-3 victory in the FIFA World Cup final in Espinho in July.
The Tiki Toa have another chance to assert themselves against the world’s best following the draw for the Intercontinental Cup at the Westin Hotel in Dubai earlier in the week.
As well as Portugal, Tahiti will face Mexico and Iran in Group B.
Tahiti are currrently ranked fifth in the world rankings, behind Russia, Portugal, Brazil and Italy, and will be looking to improve their standing with their upcoming appearance in Dubai.
The Samsung Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup Dubai 2015 is being held from 2-7 November.
